Betty Marsiano Memorial Scholarship
Betty first moved into St. Luke Parish in 1965. She came from a large italian family. She was always interested in how her family and friends were going, taking time to catch up and make sure everyone was happy and healthy. Betty had a great memory and could answer any question about family history. Betty was blessed with a wonderful husband, three children, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Because of her love of people and knowledge, she woud be so happy this scholarship is being passed along in her honor. 

Felix Perez Memorial Scholarship
In 1998 the Felix Perez Memorial Scholarship fund was established through a gift made to the school by the Perez family. Felix was employed with MET life for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Juan Crespi Council, and a loyal festival and bingo worker for St. Luke Church. He was a very involved patent and volunteer at our school. Mr. and Mrs. Perez sacrificed so that their five children could have a Catholic education here at St. Luke School. Mrs. Perez’ desire as well as her children’s’ for a scholarship in Felix’s memory was to be able to help educate children with high Christian values and a commitment to walk in the ways of Christ.

Kevin Merrill Kauffman Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Kevin Merrill Kauffman Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established in 2004 by a gift made to St. Luke Catholic Elementary School by the Kauffman Family; his father Kevin, mother Lindsey and his brother Patrick. Kevin was the Kauffman’s eldest son who passed away on June 10, 2000 at the age of seventeen. Kevin was a very special son who always had a smile on his face. Lindsey Kauffman was a member of our faculty for many years and has built a relationship with the children of St. Luke’s. To honor their son’s memory, the Kauffman family started a memorial scholarship a t St. Luke School to ensure a family could attend catholic school who otherwise might not be able to.

Lee Hakeem Memorial Scholarship
In 2002, the Lee Hakeem Memorial Scholarship was established by a gift made to St. Luke Catholic Elementary School by the Hakeem children; Michael, Greg, David, and Mary. We are honored to be the custodians of this scholarship. Lee was extremely involved as a parishioner at St. Luke’s Church, and a very devoted, committed parent at St. Luke’s School. Lee’s strong ethics and deep Catholic faith were reflected in everything she did.

Louis and Josephine Sheehan Memorial Scholarship
Louis and Josephine Sheehan were founding members of St. Luke’s Catholic Church and helped raise funds for the construction of St. Luke Catholic Elementary School. Josephine worked with Sister Sebastian on the first C.H.O.I.C.E. Scholarships that were given out throughout the Diocese of Stockton. She worked tirelessly for her church and all the organizations for which she belonged.

Luis Garcia Memorial Scholarship
In 2004, the Luis Garcia Memorial Scholarship was established by a gift to St. Luke Catholic Elementary School by the Garcia Family, is mother Phyllis and his father Louis. We are honored to be the custodians of this scholarship. Luis was born on November 14, 1978 and graduated from St. Luke Catholic Elementary School in 1992. While attending St. Luke’s, Luis was an altar server, a shepherd in the Christmas Pageant and a student who was loved by all. His smile could melt your heart, and he was a friend to everyone. Luis graduated from St. Mary’s High School and attended Delta College. He and his family were very active parishioners for many years. After graduation from St. Mary’s, he came back to St. Luke’s to work as an afternoon daycare worker. The children loved Luis, because he would always help them with their homework and play basketball with the boys. Sadly, Luis passed away on December 20, 2004.

Pauline Aguilar Memorial Scholarship
Pauline Aguilar was a friend to children and a longtime friend of St. Luke’s School. Pauline dedicated endless hours to children in her workplace and the remaining hours to family, community work, and often, St. Luke’s.

Missionary Sisters of Sacro Costato Scholarship
The Missionary Sisters of Sacro Costato scholarship is given to help a student flourish and develop in a Christian environment and grow as a true witness of God’s love and mercy in this world. The sisters seek to share this charism of love with the young people of St. Luke School.

The Children of Devine Mercy
The Children of Divine Mercy have set up a scholarship for a student at St. Luke School and we are so grateful for their support of our school and the children of our school.

The Dr. Paul Michaels Scholarship
Dr. Paul Michaels, an alumni, as well as, friend of St. Luke School, many years, ago started a scholarship for a current 8th grade student who maintains an extremely high G.P.A. and shows dedication to their studies since 5th grade. While attending St. Luke School, Paul was an outstanding student and always the top in his class. Our school is blessed to have such a wonderful friend as Paul, and one who has never forgotten his roots. This scholarship is solely based on academics.

The Filipino Catholic Families Scholarship
The Filipino Catholic Families Scholarship is funded each year by St. Luke Parish Filipino Families.  This scholarship is awarded to a Filipino family who holds their Filipino heritage close to their heart and walks in the way of Jesus.

The Freddie and Linda Flores Family Scholarship
The Flores Family, through hard work and dedication, have so graciously set up a scholarship to help a family realize a catholic education, who may not be able to otherwise.

Lynch Family Scholarship
The Lynch Family, longtime friends of St. Luke School and very active parishioners, have always taken an interest in St. Luke School. You will find Karen helping around the church in many different capacities, serving many hours each year with the parish festival.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Scholarship
The Our Lady of Guadalupe Scholarship, established by the Carlos and Gail Delgado Family, was set up to help a large family, like their own, who have high Christian values, and desire a catholic education.

Salesians of St. Don Bosco Scholarship
Our wonderful Salesian priests started this scholarship, which is funded from their own pockets, to help students who have a commitment to attending catholic school, but otherwise could not afford to without the financial assistance of a scholarship. Our Salesians teach us the oration of St. John Bosco to always show love in the home, school, playground and church. They follow this example well.
