Miss Lynsie Haley
2nd Grade Teacher
About The Teacher
My name is Lynsie Haley, and I am a fourth generation Stocktonian. I am a graduate of Annunciation school and St. Mary’s Catholic High School and a product of Catholic Education. I earned my BS in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton where I also obtained units in Dance. I currently attend National University where I am working towards earning a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Master’s in Education with an emphasis on technology in the classroom.

In 2009, I toured seven countries with an international, educational program called Up with People. During my six months on tour, my international cast of 80 young people and I, completed community service projects in every community we visited, lived with host families in order to fully be emerged into the culture in which we were experiencing and performed a professional show which used music and dance as a universal language. This life changing experience has formed me as an individual and has forever changed my outlook on the world we live in.

In 2010, I worked aboard the Disney Wonder for Disney Cruise Lines as a Youth Activities Counselor. I enjoyed traveling and meeting people from all over the world, but I especially enjoyed working with the children in making their family vacation a “magical” one.

The 2012-2013 school year was my first year teaching in a classroom of my own. I have previously substituted (both long and short term) within the Diocese of Stockton. My Mother is entering her 35th year teaching for the Stockton Diocese, and I am thrilled to be in the same profession. She also teaches Second Grade.

When I am not teaching or traveling, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to Aptos and visiting my brother up in Trukee. I love to read, ski, hang by the pool, watch movies, bake, play with my dog Luci and shop…a lot! I have a passion for performing arts and love dance and theater. I teach a musical theater class for children at "That's Showbiz" and am involved with Stockton Civic Theater. I look forward to a wonderful year here at St. Luke’s and feel so blessed to be part of such a wonderful community.
