Miss Caitlin Leman
2nd Grade Teacher
About The Teacher

My name is Caitlin Leman and I am a graduate of St. Bernard's School in Tracy and St. Mary's High School here in Stockton. I was always an active member of St. Bernard's Parish growing up, from Altar Serving through grade school to volunteering at the St. Bernard's Religious Store before it's closing in 2014. I earned my BS in Finance at California State University, East Bay and have studied Computer Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and Child Development, obtaining my AS in Child Development at San Joaquin Delta College.

In 2013 I began working at the Preschool in both Pre-Kindergarten and the 2 and 3 year old class with Miss Jana Sanderson. Working with the Preschool students was always a joy and an honor and while I loved working with the young children, I wanted to stretch my wings and work with older students.

After 3 years at the Preschool, I joined the Elementary school as the Kindergarten Aide for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 School Years. In December of 2017, I agreed to finish the 2017-2018 school year as the Long Term Substitute Teacher for the Third Grade class and am delighted to teach Second Grade for the 2018-2019 school year! It is an honor and a pleasure to guide the second grade class through several of their sacraments during such a pivotal time in their lives.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling to Buffalo, New York, my parents' hometown (Go Bills!), and going to comedy shows and concerts. I love to read, knit, sing, and sleeping in on the weekends.

The best part of teaching is seeing that spark in a child's eye when they finally understand a concept and connect the dots. I look forward to seeing that spark in your child's eye during this school year.
